How a post construction clean works
- 1Assessing the job site. We look at the scope of the work (a partial renovation, a full project, or new construction) to determine the time and equipment needed, including industrial vacuums for fine dust.
- 2Deep cleaning from top to bottom. We start with ceilings, light fixtures, and high surfaces where dust settles, then work down to walls, windows, counters, and floors, removing protective film, stickers, and leftover caulking or paint residue.
- 3Final pass and inspection. Once the main surfaces are done, we go back over the details (corners, baseboards, window ledges, inside cabinets and appliances) and inspect the whole space before handing you the keys to something actually ready.
What affects the estimate
The total square footage of the job site and the number of rooms affected by the work are the biggest factor in the time needed. The scope of the project matters too, a redone kitchen isn't comparable to a full basement or a multi floor new build. The amount of fine dust and residue left by the trades varies a lot from one site to another, some contractors clean up a bit on their way out, others don't. Add ons like exterior window cleaning or floor washing after installation can also be added to the estimate.
